On this side of the world, days are shorter, nights are colder, and November is almost gone. Where are you 2021? Where did you go?
Fortunately, I have the calendar printed in a giant format and glued to the wall right in front of me. So the answer is easier.

Sometimes I am tempted to think that I did not achieve much over the last year, but then I stood up from my chair and went to look into the detail of each one of the past months.

One word that stands out from the multitude of entries, CONSCIENCE the other is INTENTIONALITY, which always brings to my mind the music…Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you

I am surprised by the things I wrote and became aware of. I am very grateful for each of them, the positive and the negative, the successes and the failures. They all taught me important lessons and contributed to making me who I am today.

I will share with you my Top 5 highlights.

1 – My consumption of media was making me feel highly intoxicated. I did something about it, and I stopped watching or reading the news.
Lesson: My mental sanity improved exponentially. My days became lighter, and I gained a few hours per week and allocated them to something better (reading, time with family, etc.)

2 – For the first time in my professional life, I took an entire month of vacation off. I placed an autoreply on my e-mail, left the computer at home and kept the mobile phone away.
Lesson: I was impressed by the amount of rest you can accomplish when you switch off completely. My family was very happy and positively surprised.

3 – At the Walking Mentorship, we allowed time to play an essential role in the partnerships we developed. Beautiful things are happening.
Lesson: The FORWARD program is a reality, and the feedback received from the participants showed that we have managed to develop an innovative tool to ignite leaders. The BURN(OUT) STRESS program is at the core of our current moment and is needed more than ever. It is time to walk!

4 – In February and March, we had many doubts we would resume our immersive programs soon. Words are not enough to express what I felt when my feet covered the paths to Santiago, Ávila, and Alqueva with dozens of other people. I am still digesting the overdose of gratefulness inside my heart.
Lesson: Keep perspective on everything, give special attention to what you want and can do, and maybe a little less to what is outside your control or influence.

5 – One thing we all should have learned since last year is the need to take care of ourselves. Pretty basic but often forgotten. Watch carefully what you eat, think or do.
Lesson: If it is important, make it a priority and allocate time to your agenda. Don’t delay your responsibility and your dreams. One step forward is always one step closer.

Every year is filled with memories and lessons. Wrapping up a year is a very important experience.

If you need a little help to do such an important exercise, maybe you want to join us at the Year-end in Colmeal, the land of silence. Some things you can only see when there are no distractions around, and this program can make that happen at the moment when you need it.

That is exactly what we did last week in Alqueva Lake with our program slowdown. If you want to enjoy our extraordinary journey click here or on the image to watch the video of the week.
