Poétt Ryan is a Walking Mentor and Grief Educator whose work brings together grief, movement and nature.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in rural Costa Rica, she has spent more than three decades in travel and hospitality, building a career around people, places and meaningful experiences. Her work has taken her across cultures and landscapes, deepening a lifelong connection to nature and to the ways in which place can shape our experience.

Grief also entered Poétt’s life early. Widowed at 25 and raising a two-year-old son, she learned long before studying grief professionally what it means to keep moving through a life profoundly changed by loss.

Years later, a personal and spiritual journey led her to explore different understandings of death and dying, eventually training as a Grief Educator with David Kessler and as a Conscious Dying Coach and Sacred Passage Doula with the Conscious Dying Collective.

Along the way, Poétt realized that what called her most was grief in all its forms, not only death, but relationships, dreams, expectations, identities and the many losses for which we may have no ceremony or even a name.

Through Walking Through Grief, Poétt brings these threads together, walking alongside others as they explore what they carry and how they might continue forward, one step at a time.
