Everyone has to deal with stress. Studies show that 1 in 4 people will suffer some form of psychosocial issues each year. The Burn(Out) Stress Program is designed to answer this challenge. An exclusive partnership between Encontrar+se and Walking Mentorship. It is part of our toolset to overcome challenges and is even necessary to keep us growing, evolving and happy. However, it must be kept within healthy limits, which vary from person to person and within different moments of our lives.

Recent years have been particularly challenging both at the individual and the organisation levels.

The Burn (Out) Stress program promotes a deep awareness and supplies immediate tools to deal with stress and its excesses, elevated* by a light and pleasant walk in nature.

  • Generate awareness of individual stress levels and how it affects each participant’s psychological balance.
  • Provide tools to deal with excessive stress levels and clarify when and how to ask for help.
  • Co-create an action plan for a healthier work environment.

We have to be the ones to change the narrative!

Several shares made me think and gave me important insights.

Throughout this day, there were several "reminders" to wake up. To be in a conscious spot, the signals that my body gives me, and for that to have to listen to something that is something that I know, but that many times, with the day-to-day rush, I tend to go around the hamster wheel and forget about it. The question now is to understand and be more present to recognize that many of the emotions and feelings I have in relation to a certain event are my lens, and as we all know, the map is not the territory.

Exit our comfort zone is fundamental to tackling such an important topic

The importance of disconnecting and exiting the hamster wheel through the framework of the various dynamics. Mentoring helps organize the information in our heads. I highlight the moments of sharing with fellow travellers that allow us to get to know the human side in greater depth.

Dynamics

Together with Encontrar+se - association for the promotion of mental health, we developed a series of exercises using self reflection, sharing dynamics in pairs, inspiring group talks and a set of videos and audios, all facilitated by our Mentors while walking in nature. By the end of the program each participant gives the mentors his suggestions of how to improve the work environment, that originates a blind global report that is delivered to the Sponsor
