Burn (out) Stress - walk off the stigma and support your team's health!

Program overview

What is the relationship between personal health and business health?

The challenge: Studies show that 1 in 4 people will suffer some psychosocial problem each year. The last few years have been particularly challenging at an individual and organizational level.

The opportunity: Stress is part of our toolkit for overcoming challenges and is necessary to keep us growing, evolving, and happy. However, it must be kept within healthy limits, which vary from person to person and at different times in our lives.

The solution: The Burn(Out) Stress Program was designed to respond to this challenge—an exclusive partnership between Encontrar+se and Walking Mentorship. The Burn(Out) Stress program promotes deep awareness and provides immediate tools to deal with stress and its excesses, enhanced* by a light and pleasant walk in nature.

The impact: The Burn(Out) Stress Program will allow you to gain awareness of individual stress levels and how this affects the psychological balance of each participant. But also provide tools to deal with excessive stress levels and clarify when and how to ask for help. We end with co-creating an action plan for a healthier work environment. Always walking and always in nature*. Please read some of the testimonials from those who have already had the opportunity to participate in our programs.

*Walking in nature is at the heart of all our programs because we know it takes the experience to a different level – if you want to know why, visit our About page and check out the science behind this claim.

We have to be the ones to change the narrative!

We have to be ourselves to look at things with different eyes. The program's exercises helped me a lot to organize my ideas and understand what I have to stop doing and what I have to start doing to limit the bad days and control anxiety.

Mariana Alcoforado

Director of Operations

This day made me feel grateful for the state I find myself in right now. I am at peace with myself, happy, and have reviewed my immunity.

I tried to analyze and think about how much your program could impact my organization and how it could bring together people who currently need help. I believe that it would indeed be a very useful program that would make a difference within the company and that we could reach a series of people in a completely innovative way that would bring them many benefits.

Raquel Lourenço

Responsible for Personal Development Knowledge and Talent Center

I today's program with hope. Through thoughts, I can actually change the narrative, and by changing my narrative, I change my story.

Changing the way I look at things. I always said throughout my life that my head was my biggest enemy. And that the strangest, scariest, darkest place I'd ever been was in my head. Now, I leave here with the certainty that my head can be the most incredible and luminous place I can be.

Filipe Mendonça

Communication consultant

Several shares made me think and gave me important insights.

Throughout this day, there were several "reminders" to wake up. To be in a conscious spot, the signals that my body gives me, and for that to have to listen to something that is something that I know, but that many times, with the day-to-day rush, I tend to go around the hamster wheel and forget about it. The question now is to understand and be more present to recognize that many of the emotions and feelings I have in relation to a certain event are my lens, and as we all know, the map is not the territory.

Sara Durães

HR manager

Exit our comfort zone is fundamental to tackling such an important topic

The importance of disconnecting and exiting the hamster wheel through the framework of the various dynamics. Mentoring helps organize the information in our heads. I highlight the moments of sharing with fellow travellers that allow us to get to know the human side in greater depth.

Dynamics

Together with Encontrar+se - association for the promotion of mental health, we developed a series of exercises using self reflection, sharing dynamics in pairs, inspiring group talks and a set of videos and audios, all facilitated by our Mentors while walking in nature. By the end of the program each participant gives the mentors his suggestions of how to improve the work environment, that originates a blind global report that is delivered to the Sponsor
