The group gathers inside the walls of Santiago for an early dinner of traditional Spanish food getting the feeling of the movida and positive energy.
You will be welcome in Santiago and on your first day, you will take the time to reflect on the different aspects of your current situation. The exercise will take a 360-degree “polaroid” of your life and create a picture of where you now stand.
Our clients’ experience
Observing small things about myself and paying attention to them changed how I relate to others.
After the Camino, I understood better where I wanted to get to and what I needed to do to get there. Whatever I do now, I have this filter, and I can ask myself if the action I am going to take is getting myself closer to my objectives and goals.

Move forward and develop our personal and professional lives
Joaos passion to transmit to us the need to always move forward and develop our personal and professional lives has been very enjoyable and rich to me. I certainly recommend everyone to have the first talk with João and discover his WALKING MENTORSHIP program.

I have the feeling that I was walking through tall grass. When I worked on my survival kit, I was taken above the grass and started to have a macro view of my life.
Thank you very much for the experience you gave me. By all accounts, it was astounding. It was amazing externally and internally. In the end, the focus question I asked on the first day turned out to be understood. Understood and answered, partially, because the answer comes with action.

The best way to slow down, not to burn out.
Great paradigm shift experience! For me Joao's program was the best way to slow down, not to burn out, recognize and accept my nature, experience digital detox, synchronize my mind and my heart. It was a perfect approach to look at my life and myself from another perspective! I wish you all dare to show up and join Walking Mentorship!

A structured approach to improve your life and your focus on work.
It was an outstanding experience! The walk is a dream by itself - mostly unpaved roads and trails, little villages full of history and nature in abundance. Being en route with fellow participants from all over Europe was a huge plus for me! The experience is a structured approach to improve your life and your focus on work.

Sometimes you will have marvellously simple meals and others simply marvellous gastronomic experiences. We offer moments that range from sleeping alone to experiencing the opportunity to go deep on your thoughts, moments to sleep in double rooms to share the experience and in one of the days, in a private Albergue to live the true pilgrim approach staying in a dormitory altogether.
You will walk in The Vía de La Plata, an ancient pilgrimage path that crosses the west of Spain from south to north. Our Route starts in Ourense and will take us to, Oseira, Dozón, Bendoiro, Bandeira and Boqueixón just before we reach Santiago de Compostela.
Together with like-minded people, you will live a mixture of companionship, unusual lodging, fantastic meals, and endless walks. The end of each program points to the beginning of a new cycle in life. Each step brings you closer to a more autonomous and intentional life.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Santiago de Compostela Exercise - 0,00KM
Day 2 - Ourense to Oseira Exercise - Connecting the Dots
We will take the Train to Ourense (our starting point) and will walk towards the Monastery of Oseira, where we will stay for the night. On the way, we walk through quaint villages, magic forests and stop for a second breakfast of real orange juice, homemade cake and coffee on our way to happiness. At lunch, in Cea, you will feel welcome and at home.
The second exercise is an invitation to disconnect totally and use the opportunity to dig deeper into yourself and look back in your life. What you learn from your history will help you craft your future.
Day 3 - Oseira Exercise - Time Lab
This is a day to rest your legs without having to carry your backpack. At Oseira Monastery simplicity rules - rooms are plain but spacious and comfortable, shared meals are simple but always good, and the lack of options makes you value the luxury of time in all its glory.
If you want, you can visit the Monastery, attend prayers and even book a talk with one of the Brothers. Today's exercise will make you see how you use your time and your activities align with your inner self. This is a process where you have to work from the inside out.
Day 4 - Oseira to Estacion Lalín Exercise - Personal Inventory
We start today with a beautiful path between the Mediterranean maquis - a mix of trees and shrubs that don't grow much above our heads, perfect to look inside our own strengths and weaknesses. The smells can be amazing and it helps you to look inside. After a while, we reach the valley with agricultural fields and pastures and the perfect setting to look outside and to the future.
The Personal Inventory exercise will help you through your own personal SWOT analysis. Lunch meets us en route with the most authentic bocadillos. We stay in a simple and most welcoming Hostal, but the real treat is our host's restaurant where we'll eat real local food, literally from the garden to the table with delicious Spanish beer.
Day 5 - Estacio Lalín to Bedoiro Exercise - My Ideal Future
Today you will experience a visioning exercise. You will identify and describe how you idealise your life at a specific point in the future. We have a light walk through quaint villages and beautiful countryside, and sometimes the crows accompany us for a while.
Bendoiro is an old Pazo, a little piece of heaven - and just the place to envision your ideal future. Here you will feel pampered - the food is an amazing cross between contemporary and classic Galician, always supported on the best local ingredients, with amazing local wines by small producers. You'll have beautiful gardens, century-old rooms with fireplaces and countless corners for you to work on your exercise.
Day 6 - Bedoiro to Bandeira Exercise - Purpose and Outcomes
Now that you have imagined your future, you will build a bridge from your vision back to the present. This will provide you with the momentum for the decisions you must make and also the opportunity to align it with your purpose.
The landscape keeps changing, but somehow the walking becomes more natural. Another beautiful country manor awaits us and in Bandeira, we will have another real food experience, just like a local.
Day 7 - Bandeira to Boqueixón Exercise - Take Responsibility
After selecting the outcomes, you commit to in the previous exercise, you are ready to detail your Action Plan. This is the final kilometre of the program and the beginning of a new stage in your life.
To have a real feel of a pilgrimage, we sleep in a private Albergue this night, so you graduate as a true walker of the Camiño. The owner welcomes us, who will also be our cook, so you should be ready for a traditional and abundant meal, just like the locals.
Day 8 - Boqueixón to Santiago de Compostela Exercise - 1,00KM
The final exercise takes place with your Action Plan already in motion. Fine-tuning and feedback loops become your new norm. Arriving in Santiago is always a riveting experience. The throbbing energy of the arriving pilgrims mixes with the fiesta of the university students and the party seems to be ongoing. Immense joy, a feeling of overcoming and satisfaction mixes with all the stimulus of countless languages, street artists and restaurants.
Reaching the Obradoiro, the large plaza below the Cathedral we reach the end of our way. But our program is at its apex. We stay in a magical place just by the Obradoiro and this night the dinner is a private group event - cooked by the group, for the group - with special toasts to the new old friends you will have made along the Camiño.
Day 9 - Leave Santiago de Compostela Exercise - 1,00KM (Wrap-up)
The morning will be used to visit the Cathedral, the Pilgrim Museum, revise final exercises, have a wrap-up session and farewell.
