And here we are; we have just reached the longest day of the year on the 21st of June. Midsummer, or the summer solstice, has been celebrated by many cultures and societies worldwide for centuries. From Stonehenge to Fajada Butte in New Mexico and from the Temple of the Earth in China to the feast of St John the Baptist, our ancestors understood that something important needed our attention.
A time of remembrance, with warm nights and long daylight making it the perfect moment to stop, look back, and be grateful. We have reached the middle of the year, and a new season is beginning.
Last week I was in a beautiful place known to the Romans to be some kind of end of the world, a place of passage to another dimension, and just by chance, I tried to capture the sun before going down on the horizon. I couldn’t because time is unstoppable.
But I managed to achieve one thing. I understood that every year, I should block the days before and after the summer and winter solstice to feel and project who I am and who I want to be. I even found my Nirvana, where I want to do it every year.
What about you? Did you think about it?
Let me give you some advice. You should do the same. The best investment you can make in your well-being.
Remember, the journey is the destination.
We all need a sacred place and time to keep ourselves on the good track, where you can smell the perfume of life, no matter the challenges you are going through, your age, or your bank account.
If you didn’t do it last week, maybe it is a good time to offer yourself a few hours and revise what you have done so far in the year, your objectives, and what needs to be finetuned in the coming months and refocus.
If you think it is not easy to do it on your own (which it is not), join us in one of our upcoming programs; get your backpack ready, and we will be happy to share the road with you. This August, we will cross the Alps to meet our better version.

In June, we were back in the Camino de Santiago with an immersive program with some beautiful people, took an amazing team from BNP Paribas on a walk in the Wild West in Portugal on a Day with your team, and did a second edition of the Burn(out) Stress program together with the Association of Nurses in the beautiful Sintra.
