One of the best stories I witnessed in the Walking Mentorship was related to the “supernatural” powers of a specific bathroom, more precisely in Pazo de Bendoiro, a magic place in Spain.
A few years ago, we were already deep into an immersive week on a group program when the following situation happened.
During a diner, one of the participants arrived at the table with an incredible smile, which was surprising because he was pretty reserved throughout the entire week.
At a certain moment, he said he wanted to share something very important that just happened to him, which made the whole group became even more surprised.
He then stated that he started to understand the effects of the program’s exercises. He said he could feel the power emanating from within. Honestly, I was happy with the feedback but unsure what he meant by the power emanating from within.
He explained that he looked at the mirror after taking a bath and felt an extraordinary warmth coming from his face as if he was irradiating like the sun. He never experienced anything like that in his entire life, some kind of awakening. I swear I never heard such feedback from our programs either. I was intrigued.
He resumed saying that he felt empowered and confident about the process he was going through and ended up calling his wife, who was on the same program, to share such a special moment.
When she looked at the situation and heard the explanation, she switched off the heated mirror. She explained to the husband that he was very handsome but unfortunately not quite an irradiating luminosity because the heat was coming from the mirror.
We all laugh at such a great story that ended uplifting the spirits of the whole group. And to be fair, when we looked back at our unexpected comedian, I think we all could feel the warmth coming from him. After all, he was irradiating love, peace and a beautiful smile, and we all know that these attributes can be felt from a distance.
What did I learn from such a story?
– Humour, after all, is still one of the best ways to enjoy life. We are taking everything too personal and too serious. We need to laugh more.
– What we see is not necessarily what is happening. Before making a final opinion, check the source.
– Inside each story, there are usually essential lessons to learn, even if we need help from a third party to understand what is going on.
– Everybody is unique in their own way, even if it is not evident at first sight. After all, that might be our superpower.
Did you ever have a similar experience? What did you learn? Can you apply it in your life? Think about it.

We share a couple of images from the incredible week we had, together with Walking Mentorship Mentors warming up for the different challenges we have on the horizon.
